New MS Install-280zxturbo

Hey I've also got a thread started in the wrong location, somewhere over in MSExtra. I was properly chastised that I was using the wrong forum so I'm moving over here.
I've got a 280zx with t3/t4 and ic, 44# low imped injectors, and 60mm throttle body, LS1 wb o2, factory coil, factory optical dizzy.
MS2 3.57, relay board, and wiring harness all factory built.
I cannot for the life of me get this thing to idle. I started by taking different tunes from HybridZ.org, this is a fairly common build.
What I used to have, I no longer have. At times I could get a 10 sec rough idle that needed feathering the gas. I would like to submit my tune and a couple of logs.
The latest log was done while trying to shoot a timing light. That didn't work too well, I couldn't really see the pulley to understand where it's hitting but I did chalk the 0deg and I'm pretty sure I couldn't see that. I've set trigger angle to 20 and to 30 which is where it sits now (factory is 20btdc.)
I have bumped injector characteristics up and down by msecs, I have moved req fuel around, alternated between simultaneous and alternating. I just don't know what else I could be missing.
I've checked the plugs and they are sparking although I am really fouling those things. I've checked fuel and all injectors are pulsing and spraying. Valve timing is spot on! Ign timing is spot on. For the love of all things sacred, please get me out of the driveway and running to the shop so he can tune it. If I can get an idle, we won't have to spend $ on double checking terminations, timing, etc.

First, get the trigger angle set correctly. You may need to disconnect the injectors and put a timing light on it while cranking to do this.
If the timing is correct and it won't get the RPM over cranking RPM, you need to adjust the cranking pulse width.

Thanks. I have had RPM above 300 and while using the same cranking pw. Trigger angle is a different story though. I have had the same rough idle at 2deg btc as I have with 40deg btc, both built within Trigger Angle. Confused,
Check out this log attached. I have issues with repeatability. For instance, once I lose the idle, I rarely if ever can restart. So then I begin to change parameters and end up restoring an old tune just to start over the next day after the flood clears.

Okay I ran the timing light again this evening (fuel pump fuse pulled out), these are my findings:
No matter what I set trigger offset at I could not tell any change in timing. I went from 10deg retard to 5 to 0, to +5, +10, +15, +20, +25. Each time the timing mark was showing somewhere around 30ish? Hard to tell because it so far down into the depths, way beyond the indicator (that shows 20advanced if i remember correctly)
Also, later in the testing the light would miss and hit every second or third spark. Here's my current tune..the one I posted was using trigger wheel and I have optical. Must have been one of those random "what if i change this?". Also included is the log showing the several cranking exercises.

What exactly is controlling the coil?

See the attachments. I compiled wiring diagrams and written instructions from ZCar.com, DIY, Hybridz.
I struggled with the wiring, primarily because I'm not sure I identified the neg terminal correctly on the coil.

Are you using a BIP373 or VB921 coil driver?

How would one go about determining that?

I'm not sure what module comes with the stock turbo distributor. Does this help you?

By the way, I uploaded the 2.920 ini tonight. Go me,

It is the power 'transistor' on the heatsink closest to the DB37 connector. What is printed on it?

I'll have to wait until this evening and right now it's just after noon here in Dallas.
The firmware was 2.88 if that gives any indication of which module was used.

Attached is a photo of the entire board. Which of the 7 of those legged ones is the one?

A single coil driver normally goes where you have a blank space.

What does that mean for my setup? Am i missing a vital component? Is that one of my starting/idleing issues?

It means we don't know how you're firing the coil, because you certainly aren't doing it via the MS. It sounds like you're still firing it through the dizzy; if all the advance mechanisms are locked out, then I have no doubt you have a lousy idle!

If it were using the coil driver and that was missing, the engine wouldn't run - no spark. So you need to ascertain what you have installed. I'm guessing you are running fuel only. Sorry - I'm not familiar with your dizzy etc, so don't know if that set-up can be easily made to be mapped via MS. With most, if you wish to retain the dizzy, you lock the advance mechanism and possibly use its trigger. MS, with the coil driver installed, then drives the existing coil.
But it tends to be easier (and far better) to convert to wasted spark, and dispense with the dizzy.

I uploaded some wiring information for my dizzy in this thread, and my msq is loaded also. Can you get to those answers from that? I thought I was controlling spark w MS. I have the dizzy wired to terminal 15 on the relay board, and the coil on terminal 11. If I config MS to spark based on my dizzy (which I feel like I did somewhat correctly....) then shouldn't those terminations described above get me where I need to go?
