Nylon fuel line to rubber line

I have my car plumbed in all OEM style nylon lines and connectors. The only problem I can't solve (aka stop leaking) is the return line ends at a hose barb that is pressed into the nylon. The other end is threaded and I have it threaded into a T. The threaded part is leaking and I think the threads are not sealing to the T. I would like the end the nylon with a hose barb (one inserted into the nylon hose the other sticking out) and put a plain old rubber efi hose from the end of the line to the T in my return line.
I hope this makes some sense. In a nut shell I want to end the nylon line and put a short rubber section.

What I did was a short length of steel petrol pipe inside the plastic, then rubber over the two clamped in the normal way. Been like that for many years with no leaks. When it's used for high pressure hydraulics etc, they seem to use a compression fitting similar to the type used on copper tube.

Thanks guys. I am going to see what T options I can get and decide if double barb will do or if I need a short lenght of steel. I was not sure you could clamp on the nylon but with the metal inside that sounds solid.
