What AFR stability to expect at idle

I have a fairly healthy cam and lift on the motor so I'm wondering if this idle AFR is to be expected. It will float a point every second or so after it's warmed up. Should I expect a tighter range than that? EGO control has 10% and is active above 500 RPM so I'd think it could be much more stable than this... but maybe it's as good as I can get with this cam? Anyone have something as radical with a tighter idle? Here's the link to the vid - jumped ahead to the AFR at idle.

Thanks for any helps!

IMHO it's not usual to have EGO control enabled at idle.

The vid is with it enabled at idle. Is that fairly typical AFR? I see a 1 point spread at cruise too.

There was a discussion on that on ... some forum (sigh) ... not too long ago. From what I recall, you're seeing the limits of the WBO2 controller firmware. It COULD be made more precise (takes modified firmware from the controller manufacturer, so - not too likely), but a small 0.1 jitter is rarely an issue.

TY!

Did you mean 1.0 jitter is rarely an issue? Mine will move from 13.0 to 14.0 in a second or two. My resolution is pretty much +/- 0.5 AFR.

Yuk! Yeah, a 1.0 jitter is not cool. Can you post up an .msq, data log, and some info on your build - engine, WBO2 controller, how it's wired - so we're not using the Magic 8-Ball Technique of Remote Troubleshooting?

I'll be cruising with the family this weekend, will make sure to log the trip and upload the info. TY for the help!

Fresh air calibrated the O2 sensor and it seems to stay around +/- 0.1 points at cruise now. Idle is still a bit more jumpy, but for the cam I'm using I think it's within tolerance.

Thanks for yer time looking into it tho!
