New MS user with some questions.

I have been doing a lot of searching, reading, etc. and have a few questions I hope the veterans can help with.
I am complete with my building of the ecu short of any jumpers I have to install related to my findings.
I have MSvII w/v3 board
This will be running a supercharged '95 VW ABA 2.0l 8v.

I am in the middle of building the engine wiring harness. This will be the third harness I have built for the car. The first was splicing the OBDI harness into the stock wiring(car is an 86) which ran just fine. Second, I rewired the entire car to use the more modern CEII wiring from a late model GLI. This uses the same fuse box as the later model golf/jetta 94-99. Upgraded the engine harness to use OBDII so I could use bigger injectors and a FI chip with the supercharger. I had several issues with this and decided to go MS to hopefully simplify things for.

Now on to my questions.
I would like to use the stock VR sensor and retain the stock Coil firing through the distributor. Is this even possible with MS?
I would also like to entertain the idea of going wasted spark. Pros/cons?
I also have an EDIS 4 unit out of an escort I could use. I like the idea of having one coil pack for all 4 cylinders. Must you run the EDIS controller, or can you just use the coil pack as a wasted spark unit?

OK Go... any input would be greatly appreciated. It would be a treat to have this thing back on the road sooner than later.

Yes. Is this one crank triggered?

The only option with standard B&G code covered on this forum (besides trying to modify it to use MicroSquirt code, which is a lot of work) is to use EDIS, which requires a Ford style crank trigger, and the spark cut rev limit is hardwired into the EDIS module. On the other hand, EDIS is a fairly hot factory ignition.

The MS2/Extra code, covered on MSExtra.com, allows controlling a coil pack directly.
