MSefi.com read only forum (Jan.15,2018)

just getting started with latest microsquirt version. I was able to get log in to megasquirt forum but not to microsquirt . ive tried 4 different emails, keeps saying email not accepted. any help on that would be nice. I have no rpm signal on my fuel only to neg on coil . I read through hours of posts and found that I burnt r20 resister. I found no instructions on replacing , improving setup. I heard of removing resistor , bridging contact and adding 1k ohm resistor in parallel with optoisolator. ive decided to install my 36-1 trigger wheel with a hall sensor from DIY . I know I must first repair r20 , its also linked to vr1 circuit right.. one more thing , when I detect communication on tuner studio it finds it , I accept , but when I test, it fails. I have the usb to micro squirt cable that came from boostrules with kit. windows 7 with java. I know I might be asking too much right now , but I need the help. when I go into tuner studio , it reads temp, map, iat, so is it working ok with it still failing the test? Instructions, say connection has to succeed. but I have data??? I never had a rpm signal ,, that's why I question it. all new to me. thanks for reading.. any help would be great thanks.
