PIP circuit to pin 24 on the ECU 37 pin plug.
The EDIS 4 diagram shows pin number 1 of the 12 pin plug-- " its PIP", connected to pin 24 on the DB 37 ECU plug.
The wiring circuit for the engine harness--- titled "MegaSquirt -2 V3", shows a Co-Ax wire connected to a "Crank Sensor" and
to pin numbers 1---2--- and also to pin No 24. on the DB37 plug.
QUESTION--- It seems unlikely that pin 24 would have 2 different input wires attached. Is this "Crank Sensor" circuit not required?
Thank you for your advice.

Re: PIP circuit to pin 24 on the ECU 37 pin plug.
With EDIS, the EDIS module has the VR sensor connected to it only, and the PIP output from that becomes the tach signal for MS.

Re: PIP circuit to pin 24 on the ECU 37 pin plug.
I half realised this.
After posting this item, I subsequently found & read the 2014 "Hardware Manual", presented by" James Murray".
So many issues associated with the preperation and build of the circuit are so clearly covered in this text. I wish I had found it earlier!!
The preperation of my project has been protracted over many months now, due mainly to uncertain facits of the ECU. The engine hardware & injection system and loom have been completed for some time. I hope to push on now with the task.
The system is going onto an MG B Engine, fitted into an MG A Coupe. I`m surprised that there seems to be few guys making up EFI`s to
run MG`s.
Again my thanks for your reply
Kind Regards, Ian Cowen.

James's manuals are for Extra Code - covered by a different forum to this one. Extra code allows many more choices - like sequential - etc, but is also ok for more basic use. The choice between B&G code and Extra is really just up to you where they both provide what you need.
