I am assembling an MS2 with a V3 board. I'm confused about the first bullet in step 65: "If you are not using the IGBT...". How do I know if I am or not? I have searched the manual for "IGBT" and the only references are in the text of this step.

Specifically, I'll be using Ford EDIS. I followed the link to EDIS instructions in step 65, and completed the instructions there. I assume I don't need VB921, BIP373, or IGBT Pull-up Circuit.. Correct? Sorry to be so thick-headed.

The IGBT is just the name for the type of 'transistor' used to drive a basic single ignition coil directly - but is superseded by the BIP 373, which is better described as an integrated circuit, despite looking similar.

Since you're using EDIS, you don't need to fit it. EDIS has its own coil drivers in the EDIS module.

However, if you have fitted it, it can just be left unused. Both the input and output need to be connected via wire links for it to come into play. The main reason the manual asks if you need to fit it is that the position of the high current driver on the heatsink may be used for something else - like a high current Idle valve driver, if you need one of those.
