Newbie, 2 projects to configure.

I have not bought any controller yet.
Looking for help to determine what to get.
Two projects, budget systems.

One is to create a control for an aftermarket Edelbrock EFI system that came from a wrecked Camaro.
I only have the parts that come attached to the manifold as the seller did not realize he needed to remove the harness, fuel pump, and computer.
So I have the throttle body, injectors, manifold and some sort of flow sensor.
I just want to put it on my '81 K3500 truck in the hope that I can get better performance/mileage with altitude changes I see and as a learning experience.
'81 predates ANY factory computers, it's a strait carb system and GM HEI ignition.
One possible complication is plumbing the dual fuel tanks.

The second project will be more involved.
I am building a Buick V6 powered Triumph GT6.
Today I got VERY lucky to buy a rare and obsolete Inglese Buick V6 Weber 40 IDA manifold. :yeah!:
Less than 25 were made.
The Porsche 911 3V Webers are now silly expensive and most likely worn out.
So an injection update makes sense.
Most likely all I am looking to control is injection, six injectors.
It's possible I may use an "Odd-Fire" engine, this means the firing order is not evenly spaced, not sure if that is an issue?
I may want to adapt a Rover 4.0 front cover that does not have a distributor but does have provision for a cam sensor.
Again looking for a simple budget build as much as possible.
Not sure what I am doing for throttle bodies, the Weber replacements are $4K!
I am looking into adapting Triumph Rocket Three motorcycle bodies but until I am able to get some dimensions I do not know if they are practical, even at only $200.00 a set.

Hopefully not asking too much, the main site menu seems to assume I know what all the models and terminology mean.

The Chevy ought to be pretty straightforward - were you going to run fuel only, or have the ECU control ignition?

The Buick setup will be a bit more complicated. For MS2 B&G code, you could run a Ford EDIS ignition if this is an even fire engine, but there's no option for odd fire distributorless. An MS2 running MS2/Extra or an MS3 can handle odd fire distributorless ignition; they have a separate forum at msextra.com.

Looks like I will be using the even-fire Buick 3.8/231 engine.
If I inject it I think I will want to control ignition timing too.
It currently uses a GM HEI distributor.
Not really wanting to get more exotic than necessary as it's supposed to be a budget build.

For the Chevy I mostly want to use the Eddy FI I bought at minimum additional expense.
Eddy wants crazy money for the few components I do not have, almost the cost of a complete system.
Rumor is that I might be able to adapt a Tune-Port controller but even if true I don't think they are tune able.
Would probably be better to integrate ignition control with the FI if it's not too complicated and expensive.
This is a truck that does not get a lot of use but when it does often crosses the Sierra's, really gets weak over 6000'.
Hoping FI might have better power at altitude and maybe even a couple more MPG all the time.

For the Buick V6 I have another related question.

Looking at EFI since the Weber 40 IDA-3's are so difficult to find.

Individual MC bodies have been suggested but I need a link to a site that will help me determine which to get.

Saw mention the other day of major difference in flow required per cylinder for a 2 Liter four cylinder high RPM sports-bike and a 6000 RPM max 3.8 liter automotive V6.

Not sure individual throttle bodies give any advantage on a relatively low revving engine - a plenum system may work better for a road car.

The goal is to replace a Weber individual runner system.
Have built and still have several cars with individual runners, the advantage is clear for spirited driving.
Trying to work around the very limited availability of the Weber IDA-3's while utilizing a Weber manifold.
