I am interested in the Mega-Squirt 2, mainly because it seems easier to tune and maintain than an ECM. However, my setup my have difficulties.
My current setup:
TPS
IAC
Injectors
Coolant Temperature
Oil Pressure Gauge
Fuel Pump

Can I run a Mega-Squirt 2 with just that setup? I do not have a VSS and I am not buying an HEI, they don't make them for my engine.....

You'll want an intake air temperature sensor, too, and the MS2 won't talk to the oil pressure gauge (those things generally aren't computer controlled anyway). I'm guessing you have a distributor with a mechanical and vacuum advance? If so, you can start out with having the MS control just fuel, and later install a locked distributor or a crank trigger to get spark.

Knowing the vehicle and/or engine would really help.
