Re: GM DIS EST Wiring
I'm such a door knob...
lol..
Ok so you were right...
There is a 5v going to the module...
This is the bypass line.... when the module sees 0v it uses it's timing.... when it sees 5v it uses ms's timing...
This is where I used to have the relay.....
I'm using the 5v ref that's normally ...

Re: GM DIS EST Wiring
I'm working with GM DIS.
The module i have has the exact wiring schematics as under megamanual for gm dis.
Except for it has 2 power sources instead of 1.

Re: GM DIS EST Wiring
As far as i know, I don't need a 5v going to my ignition module.

Re: GM DIS EST Wiring
But it's not really what I was asking.
I already have a bountiful source of hot on run, but not crank lines .
I would like to eliminate the relay completely.
Is this possible?
I liked the idea of using the skip pulses (as I've read that this is the delay in tach pulses before ...

GM DIS EST Wiring
I'm running MS-II on a L61 ecotec.
It has a 7x (6+1) crank trigger.
Im using a Gm Dis ignition module from a an older 2200 sohv 7x.
When running with the Est line disconnected I read 29 deg advance.
This resulted in a trigger offset of 83 with the digital timing light.
I want to remove the ...

Re: IAC WONT FULLY CLOSE
Upping the start value to 350 steps.
Using a example of 180f @ 320 steps gives a nice 950 rpm idle.
I know this is alot higher than normal,
and many people using Ms with their L61 Ecotec have had this same problem.
Hopefully this will help someone, as visually looking and ...

IAC WONT FULLY CLOSE
The spintle on the Iac does not free wheel.
It's a 4 wire model, blue, light blue, green light green wires.
I may have the polarity backwards, but I was lead to believe this didn't matter on these types.
It is set up for moving only.
I did a calibration with a friend ...
