Bill,

This depends mnore on the processor (MS-I vrs. MS-II and code than the main board). In general, you can use the distruibutor by locking out the advance mechanism (there are numerous threads on this). Also see: http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/pickups.htm

It depends on whether you want the Megasquirt or the distributor to control the ignition. If you have the distributor controlling the ignition, you can just trigger it off the negative terminal of the coil; I did that with my Dart using a Pertronix Ignitor when I first got it running.

If you want the Megasquirt to control timing, you can lock out the advance and use a points-style input circuit with the 12 volt pull-up. This will let you get all the advance you want.
