AE RPM Scaling - Not Working?

Post by -nick »

MS-II v2.686
MegaTune v2.25
MegaLogViewer v2.73

Hey folks,
I have my AE RPM scaling set with:
Low Thresh = 2000rpm
High Thread = 2600rpm

I wanted to see what happens when I have AE for just for off-idle enrichment. However, I just looked at a datalog it's flagging Accel:Y at 4300rpm+

I thought that "High Thresh" is the point where any AE is turned off? And "Low Thresh" is the point where AE goes from full on, to linearly diminishing up to the high thresh zero point.

Is there something to set to turn the scaling "on"? Or is something odd happening?

I looked at the code and the ae scaler should cut off all AE after the hi rpm (it sets tpsaccel = 0 if rpm > hi_rpm_threshold). Its pretty straightforward. However, if your datalog shows a non-zero tpsaccel on the same line with an rpm > threshhold, then I would like to see that. You shouldn't have to do anything to activate the cutoff other than setting the lo and hi rpms.

A-ha! I didn't know this was based on TPSdot only. I was running 100% MAPdot. I'll make the switch to TPS AE (been meaning to anyway).

Thanks for the quick answer

it's not. tpsaccel includes tpsdot and mapdot based AE, or a blend of the two.
