Slide gate throttles..
Given the low cost now of laser cutting and such, has anyone revisited slide gate throttles? I know jaguar tried it in the 1960's, but has anyone tried it since? I reckon it would be great for those of us without much room - plus on my setup it could go on without any other mods to the intake (so I would have a plenum and six equal-length runners). Ideas and pictures, anyone??

I think the reason you don't see them on OEM apps is because slide throttle would likely be an ongoing maintenance issue. It's much easier to seal the rotating shaft on a butterfly type throttle than it is a slide throttle and much, MUCH easier to ensure that they're still sealed after 50 or 100,000 kmswagon wrote: I suppose OEM's would use them on their high powered stuff if it was a good proposition.
