Directport Nos fuelinjector adaptor?

Post by comrade904 »

I found a Nitrous company that offers a nozzle that that fits in between the fuel injector and the manifold. The cool part is that it mixes extra fuel and Nitrous from the soliniods in with the fuel from the injector.

My question is if anyone knows whether this will negatively effect fuel delivery in off Nitrous conditions?

If not this is a really cool thing cause it would make directport BOLT-ON and easily reversible.

Interesting! Please share the url of tho co with us?

I hve no experience in that type of device but its affect is most likely to vary upon different injectors. One thing to consider is that it will most likely lift the injector further away from the inlet manifold which in turn may have an effect on the fuel rail which may have an effect on....

Various MS fw supports NOS by lengthening the fuel pulse which makes a "dry" installation possible AND MUCH simpler than a wet system. It does require that your injectors have sufficient flow and duty cycle reserves though.

Here is the site with the nozzle on it:

Scroll down to EFI Pro Nozzel CFN-1904.

The Nitrous company is called cold fusion but I think i remember a huge paper aftermarket catalog that had the same thing under the name edelbrock but I could never find it on the internet.

As for the fuel rail... I know in my car it is a simple welded bracket that holds it on and fabbing up a bracket for the bracket wouldn't be hard at all, but it would probably be kinda heavy.

I can't speak from experience, but just looking at that thing makes me cringe.

Imagine what's happening to your nicely atomized fuel spray as it's rammed down that narrow tunnel.

I would want to see some video or a picture of that in action before I put it in my car.
