Baro correction jumps 2% points - skips points in between.

Post by Philip Lochner »

I've noticed something weird with 2.884.

Barocor does not go from 100 to 99%. It jumps straight to 98%. This may not sound like much but it results in changing my AFRs a full point and drives me nuts as my VE table keeps on being tuned sometimes at 100 other times at 98 (without me knowing of course). From 100 upwards it goes 1% at a time but at 107% it jumps straight to 109%.

Why is this and is there anything I can do to fix it?

If got the 2 point baro settings as follows:
At total vac: 15
Rate: 100

Should I rather set the two point table to vac = 100 and rate = 0 and do all baro corrections on the 6 point table?

I use these values since I tune the vehicle at 85kpa and want barocorr = 100% at this point (so that GammaE will be 100% too)
Best regards
Philip

Last night I did this and it seems the problem is solved. I suspect it has something to do with the way decimal figures are converted to integers.
