The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.

i am running a msII controller with version 2.886 code from B&G. i would like to use a mallory hifife cd ing contoller with my ing setup but did not see any information withen the manual on how to set it up. from whit i can tell, i think it should be hooked up the same as the msd6 becouse these two controlles are preatty much the sam just diffrent beands. was wondering if i am correct in this or if their are differnt settting for the two controlles.

It's wired up like an MSD 6. Also like an MSD 6, it does not really react very much to dwell settings unless there's something very strange about them. How are your dwell and maximum spark duration settings set?
i have them both set to 3.4 that is what the coil specs are without the controller i did this that way if the controler goes bad i can rewire it and go and when i used this controler before ms it worked fine

the truck does run the way i have it wired, but i am having trouble with the timming at idle i have it set to 10 btc it reads that with both the light and on the dshboard of megatune but as i rev up the light does not match the megatune dashboard the light will read 22 degrees at 2500 and megatune will read 33 degrees and i cant figuer out why tried all the differnt trigger input edges and the coil charging schems and it did not fix the problem. I posted a copy of the msq mabie i missed sometihing

I tried to adjust teh sugnal delay but it dosen't seam to do anything, but i did notice that the red light on the mallory that is supposde to be a constient red when running (flashes with every spark signal so it appears as alays on) at the higher rpm's starts to flicker as if it were loosing signal and i don't understand why it is triggared directly off the msII controller without a module using the white advance wire i'm starting to wonder if it is a problem with the imput from the dizzy i used shielded wire to prevent interfearance. is their some kind of mod that needs to be done for the ford dizzy with a vr sensor to work corectly that i might have overlooked?
