Flying Magnet

Post by 1365keith »

I have a question on ignition set up. I am currently using MS1 fuel only with a fliyng magnetic set up to trigger MS1. I had too much noise in my ignition and could not get a clean signal. I am going to convert to MS2 for ignition also. Looking at the ignition set up, will the set up be the same as a distributor. The crank tigger questions appear to be for wasted spark and toothed trigger wheels. I assume since it works as a distributor signal with MS1 it will work a for MS2 without changing the set up. Is this correct. I got a copy of set from someone on this site with basically the same set up.

Yep, the Flying Magnet is indistinguishable from a distributor rotor as far as the Megasquirt is concerned. Except, of course, it's more accurate.
