IAC slow to react after start up

Post by mrampone »

Hi guys I got a MSII with a stepper iac and all seems to be working fine but i cant seem to figure out how to get it to go from its cranking position, to its temp based run position faster after the engine fires. its ok when the engine is cold but when warm stays at over 2000 rpm for like 6sec before it comes down! the motor goes in and out fast enough i just waits awhile. (I am using tuner studio if that makes a diff) Thanks for the help

in megatune go to

"fuel setup"..
then "idle control"

then lower the "crank to run taper time" from 6 to 3 or whatever

Thanks for the reply, I thought that would be it and have tried adjusting that a bunch of times, maybe the problem is with tuner studio, it doesn't make a diff! I'll have to get mega tune working. :?:
