Map reading incorrect

Post by jamies22 »

I've just assembled a second MSII, V3.0 and found an issue,

One is that the Map reading is 75kpa with no vac line connected - shouldnt it be 100kpa?
The map settings in the calibration screen are 10 and 260 as per the instructions.

Voltage on pin 1 of the sensor is 1.78 volts, and the same voltage is present on pin 23 of the cpu board

Any ideas on what to check?

Your altitude, first. :) I'm not sure where you live, but in some cities that's actually normal. Are you using a 2.5 bar, 4 bar, or 3 bar MAP sensor?

its the std sensor in the kit,
Found the problem though, it was a bad 10k resistor R6 which also made my voltage show as 27v.
Replacing the resistor solved the problem
