EDIS control module bad??

Post by spgeebee88 »

ok heres the story i have my 1990 saab 900 running on MS V2.2. i have my EDIS4 all wired up and have the crank sensor set up but i still dont get spark from it. i tested the out put of the vr sensor and at idle iam getting 5-4V a/c whitch i believe is an acceptable amount of voltage. checked for power at the control unit -good source voltage, ground-good, but checking at the coil there is no power at the 2 coil "signal" wires, but there is source voltage at the center pin. so in my experiance this is telling me that i need a differant control unit (mind you i did remove it from a J-yard) any input would be great Thanks!

Check to be sure the VR sensor isn't wired backwards. If that doesn't fix it, you probably have a bad module.
