6 cyl injector wiring

Post by M.D. »

hi, im very new to this mega squirt lark and am really looking forward to having a go myself,

i have pre baught a complete built ms-2 extra with loom,

but all the diagrams for the injectors i can find are for a 4 cylinder set up with arrows pointing towards ''other injectors''

but what order are they wired in,
i mean if bank 1 goes to 3 injetors and bank 2 goes to the next 3, what injectors should i wire them to

ie, should bank 1 go to injector 1 2 and 3 then bank 2 to injectors 4, 5 and 6.

or should they be wired in a different order???

thanks

matt

There's several different ways to wire them up - most people either go odds on bank 1 and evens on bank 2, or 1,2,3 on bank 1 and 4,5,6 on bank 2. Either way works.

brilliant, :)

thanks for that, im trying to work out a way that i can wire the whole engine up and have it on a bulkhead plug so i can just unplug the engine and leave the ecu and internal loom in the car with just the plug showing through the bulkhead, i have found a plug the same as the standard ecu plug so with any luck ill use that :)

is it possible to run three injector groups?

that is how the 7m is wired stock.

or say seqential? <-tho i've read it doesn't help any where but bottom end. and isn't really needed. still would be a cool option.

im tring to figure out the correct way to fire my injectors aswell, and all im seeing is 4cyl stuff influencing me to run three injectors on each output/input forcing me to run 2 groups.

There are only 2 outputs on a regular MS, so you will need to run 2 groups. That's how I got my Dart running, and I have seen quite a few other six cylinder engines run that way on MS - including a 7MGTE.
