EDIS 4 pin 1 problem

Post by impregacy »

hooked up EDIS 4 on my subaru tonight, only problem is that I've heard that pin 1 should have 12v on it when power is given to the module, and when not cranking. At this point pin 1 only has 3.9v on it under these conditions. Pin 8 has a good +12 and pins 7,9 have a good chassis ground.

As far as the reading on pin 1, could the problem be caused by the fact that I'm attempting to use subaru coils and cam sensor?

Thank you,

As mentioned in another thread, the voltage on pin 1 changes a lot as it cranks - it's nearly impossible to get an accurate readout without an oscilloscope. If the MegaSquirt is seeing RPM, you shouldn't need to worry about it. You will need a 36-1 wheel of course.
