coolant sensor change

coolant sensor change

hello
i have a vw air cooled engine and i have the coolant sensor on the mega squirt running into a GM oil temp sensor.

Is this ok and do have to change any thing to make this work well? Right now i have just sucsessfully started and idle

That can work. I've also seen CLT sensors threaded into the cooling fins or cylinder head temperature sensors used.

how can i modify the range of what the mega squirt can see in terms of temperature for the oil temperature sensor to be used?
