I want to use standard thermistors instead of automotive air temp/coolant temp sensors. The reason is that space is very limited , as i am converting a 25cc engine,so the air filter is very small and i don't have any space to attach the coolant sensor. So i was going to epoxy a thermistor to one of the engine fins and epoxy one inside of the air filter.
What i would like to know is what resistance of thermistor would be best suited to my application they come in 100 ohm,300ohm,1k,5k,10k,20k,100k resistances .I know i can alter the reading in easytherm , but does it have to be within limits

Can somebody help!!
