VR signal and MS II 3.57

Post by oysteinbno »

Can anyone help me with this problem. The ECU doesn't read any signal from my VR-sensor.
Which changes do I have to do to my V 3.57 card to read VR signals?
I know the signal is ok, because I have run this setup on a v 3.0 before.

First, make sure it's jumpered for VR input - JP1 in the 1-2 position, J1 in either 3-4 (normal) or 5-6 (inverted). Next thing to do is adjust the trim pots. They work just like a V3.0 except they're six turns or so end to end and don't click like V3.0 pots.

Have adjusted the trim ports too. But still no signal
I've added a BIP373 coil driver transistor ( Q16). Should the jumper from JS10 to the middle leg of Q16 still be there after I've installed q16 too, or should this be jumpered to another place?
At the V 3.0 card the D1 is not to be installed when triggering of VR. Is this the same on the V3.57? ( There its installed)

JS10 now needs to be jumpered to IGBTIN. But that isn't causing the loss of signal. D1 is bypassed anyway, you just need to set up the jumpers. Are you using wheel decoding?

Im having the exact same issue. Im running a bmw 60-2 trigger with ms2 3.57 board using ms2 extra 2.1.0p. Ive tested my vr sensor and its producing a good ac voltage. Ive tried rising edge and falling edge, inverted normal.....ect....

Now these jumpers, is this jp1 on the ms2 daughter board, or jp1 on the 3.57 board?

That's on the V3.57 board.

Are you not getting any signal while cranking, or are you just losing the signal as RPM comes up?
