IAC and starting

Most vehicles with standard transmissions require the clutch be depressed to start. Prevents starting in gear...also make push/overrun starts impossible.Robert Spencer wrote: I found that the engine will not restart while going down the road in gear. I can't see the safety switches blocking the ignition or fuel pump, since that won't affect the lurch of the vehicle.
