Stim injector LED no signal, Injector driver problem?

Post by jerg_064 »

From my thread in the tuning section, need to go back to assembly T/S here.
jerg_064 wrote:On another note, hooked up the Stim to try additonal testing. The injector LEDs never did work before and I'm not sure where to test at, but for starters I used an LED on CPU 21-40 &22-39 and got the flashing beat of injectors there. I also attempted testing the non-banded ends of D5/D7, which turned both my LED probe and the coresponding Injector LED on the Stim on solid. So maybe the main board needs worked on. Same result on banded end of D5/7.
Does someone know the test points to check for what values in the injector circuit on the main board? MS2 V.3, 2.891, Stim V2.21. Ford TFI, not using Current limiting or Flyback PWM damping circuits, only Active Flyback clamp circuit.

Thanks for any input.

Yea, that's why I made the injector probe and started trying to find points on where to check for what. The troubleshooting guide didn't say those details.

Anyways, I did find my problem and Yes it's because I skipped over a section. Decided not to install the current limiting circuit, but didn't read that I still needed jump R37/8.

Thanks though, on to the tuning.

#11 in that link has all the test points for the injector circuits.
