changing the Fidle relay to fans

Post by convertables_10 »

Im not using the Fidle circut on my ms2 v 3.0 board. Im wanting to let it control my cooling fans once I get them installed with they appropiate under hood relay. Im finalizing my harness over the next few days and was wondering to leave the pin blank or go ahead and add a wire for the fan relay if it can be made to control it.

It can be made to control a relay to control the fan no issues at all.

You just need an ignition switched 12 volt supply going to the coil and main switching contact of the relay. Then one wire going to the fan, the other wire going to the FIDLE pin.

Hope that makes senes.

I am not sure in MegaTune as I use TunerStudio - but yes - you just switch off any idle control (or thats what i did because i dont use it) and then set up the output for that.

As I work in degrees C - I set mine up for 85c and a hysterisis of 5 degrees to stop it from switching on and off.
