Change bins for MAP/VE/ADVANCE - car won't start

Post by turbo-brooks »

A quick rundown - this is a COMPLETELY new build. I have had TONS of problems from one thing to another.

This is a V3 mainboard, Tunerstudio V0.999.9b - I recently [finally] got this thing 'running' if you want to call it that. It was running, but running RICH, so rich that it woudln't rev freely - it seemed as if no changes affected the problem. I noticed that the cursor ran near the top of the tables at idle.. so that told me that the scaling was way off. It stumbled and blubbered real bad due to bieng rich, so I thought for sure the scaling was the problem.

I re-scaled the bins to what I thought I needed, and after that it wouldnt start AT ALL.

I've attached the .msq, maybe someone can tell me what I've hosed.. I've spent the better part of a week working on this bucket. :D

Combo -
383 Chevy
Turbonetics T70
80# injectors
HEI, only using the VR sensor and direct coil control (no module)
MAP daddy MAP sensor

I think that covers the relevant details...... HELP!! :|

Did you calibrate for the map daddy? If not that can cause issues with the map reading.

Yeah, I sure did - the only part I wasn't sure of was the editing of the settings.ini. I don't see that .ini anywhere in a tunerstudio project.

I used the settings on this link - http://www.DIYAutoTune.com/catalog/mapd ... p-117.html (that's where I got the settings.ini part from, of course, as far as I know - it's non-existant)

Nope, no need to update the settings.ini in TunerStudio, there isn't one. That is only for MegaTune.

So, Phil - what have I missed? Does anything in the .msq look out of place?

It's getting fuel, spark etc.. but just won't crank, and seems to flood EASY.

FWIW, I just changed coils too.

Are there specific settings for the VR sensor/reluctor that I might not know about?
