RPM in TunerStudio reads double

Post by K.pokBriggs »

I'm setting up the injection system to run a single cyl air cooled engine. I'm using a encoder for the tach signal, this fires once very 360 deg. In Tuner Studio the RPM is reading double of what it is. Is there anywhere in the software to correct this?

Set the number of cylinders to half its real value.

This is a single cyl engine, so the clyinders is set to 1. I'm going to try to gear down the encoder 2-1 so it is running at cam speed. I'm hoping this is going ot be a fix.

My mistake, my post should have said double, not half (e.g. set it for a two cylinder in your case.)

The 2-1 for the encoder has taken care of the RPM problem and it has taken care of which TDC mark to follow. Its now triggering the same as a cam trigger. Now on to the next problem. I'm sure I'll be posting more questions. Thanks for the help.
