MS2 v3.0 voltage problem

Post by maaku80 »

I am having problem with my MS2 v3.0 board. When I power it with my megastim v2.21 only IG led lights up. I have tried to re-solder components but nothing seems to help. When board is powered with stim, resistors R31 and R35 heaten up very much. I found some other topic which had instructions testing voltages for short circuits in board. I checked those points with multimeter and I found that there is no +5V in the left banded end of D19. Anybody has idea what could be wrong?

Here are the results:
I am powering megastim with Vivanco switching power supply. It is giving +11.85V

S12 = 11.73V
S12C = 10.89V
center leg of Q9 = 11.72V
center leg of Q12 = 11.72V
left (non-banded ) end of D3 = 11.73V
left leg of U5 = 10.15V
left (banded) end of D9 = 10.16V

S5 = 4.89V
two +5V holes in the proto area = 4.89V
right (non-banded) end of D9 = 4.89V
right leg of U5 = 4.99V
left (banded) end of D19 = 0.01V
CPU pin 1 = 4.88V
CPU pin 20 = 4.88V
CPU pin 31 = 4.88V

Is D19 getting hot? Does anything change if you de-solder it?
