If your question is about troubleshooting, configuration, or tuning, you MUST include your processor type (MS-I or MS-II) and code version in your post. If your question is about PCB assembly or modifications, you must also include the main board version number (1.01, 2.2 or 3.0).
If you have questions about MS1/Extra or MS2/Extra code configuration or tuning, please post them at www.msextra.com Such questions posted here will be moved to: a temporary MSextra sub-forum, where they will be removed after 7 days

Yes, that's the appropriate behaviour for the stim when you have the code configured for a stepper motor IAC.
For testing warm-up enrichment on the stim, you can reconfigure the IAC as a PWM, and set the values from 0 to 100%, and you should see the LED dim and brighten with large temperature changes. That won't tell you much about the stepper's behaviour, though.

Set the values under FUEL SETTINGS > IDLE CONTROL? I didn't see where I could specify anything from 0 to 100%. My apologies if this is obvious. I may be showing my newness here.Lance wrote:Doug,

On a side note I did jumper pin 20 to 34 as I have seen in other posts that this is a method to test the IDL led on the stim and it does light up. So thats good.
Thanks for the help Lance!

See the "Idle Steps" and "Idle PWM Duty Cycle " table described here: http://www.megamanual.com/mt29.htm#ed
The same physical table (i.e. the same locations in memory) is used for both PWM and stepper motor logical table valves, but the values aren't generally compatible (PWM runs 0-100%, steppers run 0 to 300 steps). I believe the defaults are for a stepper motor. If you change the idle valve type (under 'Idle Control/Algorithm') you generally have to change this table's values as well.
