Help I have an old porsche that has Megasquirt??

For discussing Phil Tobin's TunerStudio MS is the MegaSquirt edition of TunerStudio, a next generation tuning application. It provides the ability to configure and tune all MegaSquirt controllers and is 100% compatible with MegaTune ini files and msq's.

Post by regr »

Hello all, I'm trying to get the ECU to talk to my good working PC, How do I know what software I need to tune my car, my Megasquirt is running way to rich in the maner it was whe I recieved the car.

numbers on silver Megasquirt (MS) box are;
MS Si# M01
MS Hardware rev V3.0
MS Sofware rev BITZ3.0
Assembled by TB
Porsche 911
Tested by TB

My serial cable is plugged into the serial port on my tecra pc, not a USB dongle but directly to com 1 and the ECU fails to be recognized, no action from software gauges, I'm trying to use MEGATUNE 2.25p1

I'd recommend using TunerStudio; it's easier to set up and will detect most firmware versions automatically.

Look up tbitz on pelican parts.com 911 bulletin board for more info regarding setup and possible maps for your car. I remember several people installing his kit. Good luck, Chuck
