VERY generic IAC valve?
My question is around IAC valves. Right now the solution is to simply use a Jeep-style four pin stepper that fits into a custom machined aluminum block that mounts on top of an air pipe that has a conveniently placed pair of holes into it (downstream of the butterflies of course, cast into the pipe). Machining the block isn't too hard, but it dawned on me that I ought to just explore whether or not anyone is familiar with a very generic IAC valve that could simply be bolted anywhere and with a hose to the air cleaner and to an adapter plate made to fit over the above mentioned holes. Basically just a hose barb in, hose barb out stepper IAC. Anyone know of such? If so, I'd love to have a model number or car that originally came with one so that I can hunt them down.
Thanks.
