Hey all,
I have a 86 toyota 22ret with ms2v3 2.905 code. It will start run for aprox. 2 min or so then it starts to miss and eventually dies. mega tune tach goes to 0 then will run for a few secconds or minutes then the tach will bounce to zero again. its like someone turned the key off. i switched out the vr pick up in the distributor and didnt change anything. also disconected the igt wire going to the ignitor from megasquirt and it doestn change anything. I hooked up the megasquirt up to my stimulator and it worked flawlessly for 15 min. any one have any ideas what could be wrong? im about at my witts end with this controller. any help would be appreciated.

Any chance the VAST module is overheating? Does it get hot with the key on and engine off?
