Unable to get all pages after multiple attempts

Post by Mydmc5898 »

can't make a datalog or MSQ
however this is the msq I'm using (attached) and the board is 3.57 and using MSII REV 2.88600

Ok long story short. I had my car sent out for some work including the engine being swapped out for an efi motor. Being that it is rear engine and not much available without tons of fabrication I went with Megasquirt.

Got the car back Monday after it was suppose to be finished. It still needed a lot of wiring and tuning.
Good news is I have a base msq for it already.

So all the wiring is done, however, the 12volt supply going into the computer was reading as ground and 0.0volts, and found the two grounds never were attached. After attaching them and fixing faulty wiring in the ignition switch and going over hours and hours of rewiring it's all set to tune.
We add 12 volt supply, all wires test good.

I turn the ignition on and open Tunerstudio and it successfully makes communications with COM 3.
but if I load the MSQ doesn't matter which one, this messages comes up "Unable to get all pages after multiple attempts"
Now for a brief moment I did get in and as able to set my TPS. but when I hit save this all happened. I'm using a USB cable, I tried a second one and same thing.
Also it tries to load and error log but at most gets to 94% and stops. And the fuel pump wire going to the fuel pump relay is clicking all the time once it's put into accessory on the key. We swapped out that relay and tried another and it didn't click. Turned off the car and went to try all over, and this relay was now clicking.
its volts were all over.
There is 12volts coming off the red wire as well out of the harness that is marked 12 volt.

Any idea??? :(

Thanks in advance!
Darryl

also being I'm at work when I work on it, I only have my phone. If its possible to email me that would help a lot.
But I know posting here helps everyone too!

After trying a new labtop I've gotten to a loading screen and it has validating data, but it gets hung up at 94%....

This is a bit of an odd error message; can you post a screen shot of it?

I tired to get one today, but yesterday the laptop couldn't make contact with the ECU. I tired several ports, usb cables, and laptops. Got nothing at all.
The person who did the installation of the computer recommended me to hard wire it outside the car.
I took the computer out and ran a 2amp fuse inline between the ecu and battery, as well as the usual ground. Still nothing when trying to talk to the laptop.
So I sent the ecu back to him. I have to check all the wiring tomorrow. Not sure what happened.
