MS2 EDIS ignition cut -problem

Post by drigata »

Hi,

I have a Megasquirt II with 2.25 board and EDIS 4 ignition. I've made an electronic device which cuts the spark directly on the coil, but the signal from the megasquirt to the EDIS(SAW) never stops even on revlimiter with spark cut. Please help me to program the megasquirt to stop the signal during spark cut.

Thanks in advance.

That is how the code should behave; you would need to rewrite the firmware to add a feature like this.

My thoughts are the same, but I can't handle the firmware changes alone. That's why I need help from someone that can change it, or at least guide me how to do it.

Why? If you've managed to cut the spark, what does it matter that the MS is still telling the EDIS when to spark? Even if you did cut the signal from the MS, the EDIS will continue to send spark signals to the coil in a 'limp' mode.
