Relay Board Spare ports

Post by cytogen »

Hello,

I'm looking to add a CAN bus device to my MS setup and looking for a way to wire up the CANH and CANL. They are on the recommended spr1 and spr2 ports.

I notice on my version of the Relay board, there is a ports there labeled as spare ports 1 - 4 on top of the FIdle relay. I've been looking through all the documentation on MS site and there is nothing in the schematics that mention these ports. The schematics are also dated as 2002, where as my board is dated 2007, rev 1.00A.

So are these spare ports actually connected all the way thru to the MS board? I would much rather connect my can device here then take apart my harness.

Thanks,
Michael

Yes, this would use the first two holes - or you can break the outputs out of the relay cable.

Awesome! Thanks Matt, this simplifies everything... even the knock inputs can go through here.
