cam sensor question

Post by Porsche650 »

I have a MS2 3.0 i was going to use with a ford edis system. Due to placement of the crank sensor and since i can put the distributor low on the block i was wondering if i could use just the distributor sensor with the ford edis system. At the system at the moment is a fiat distributor with electronic pickup, gm module, and bosch blue coil. What would be my best bet?

EDIS can only be used with a 36-1 crank wheel; it's hard-coded into the EDIS module itself. You can use the distributor pickup as your main sensor, using a 'Basic Trigger' configuration.
