hei8 ref signal to two ecu's

Post by 355vette »

MS2 ver3 code 2.92. Has anyone used the hei8 ref square wave signal (tach) to control two separate ecu's at the same time.
I am running stock gm computer and megasquirt. The gm controls ignition via msd box, controls fuel pump, transmission and TC and injector 12V. Megasquirt controls injector ground and IAC as fuel only. At this time megasquirt gets it tach in signal from the square wave off the MSD tach output. I would like to fool with doing MS ignition control so the above question. If no one knows I will experiment but if someone has done it that info would be great. Just for info my current system controlling the injector ground through a double pole double throw switch allows me to switch between gm fuel control and MS. When using the gm for fuel the MS still does tuner studio presentation for AFR and data logging.
Thanks

no it doesn't work straight up. I suppose an electronics guy could make it work with stuff that is above my pay grade.
