Relay cable max length??

I'm tight for space under my dash, so I'm looking into options of where to mount both the MS and the relay board.

What is the maximum length the engine harness can be?
How about the DB37 MS to Relay Board cable?

I would say 3 meters is a safe max - but I cant see a problem with going up to 4-5 meters as long as the cable is kept away from interference (i.e shielded).

3 meters for just the relay cable or for both?
I'm looking into different spots to mount my MS and Relay board, I have limited options and it's looking like they could be up to 8ft apart, or 8-9ft from the engine harness.

MS to relay box - 8 foot (just over 2 meters) should be fine.
