IACV Testing

Post by supercharged cooper »

Hi Guys, I know this is probably a real dumb question, but how do I test that my IACV is working??? I have a 4 wire bipolar IACV from my mpi mini that i have wired up as per the diagram and checked all the connections, now the only difference is that my coil resistance is 19ohms but that works out about 630mA, and I think the chip is rated at 750mA, does that sound right??? Or do i need some more parallel resistance??? Im assuming that I can switch the ignition on, engine not running and warm up the CLT sensor to make it react...................but its not  Please somebody help me!!!!!

Right well I made up a little connector block so i could use my stim board and try my IACV, good news is it seems to move, ie twitch, but I cant actually see much movement from it. What sort of throw do these normally have?? Do they just open the smallest bit for that little extra air???

V3 board, V2.33 s/w MS-II
