Some of the Vendors, like DIYAutoTune.com, sell a connector with wires attached which have very reliable crimp connections. I have had good luck with that type of connection, plus all the wires are labeled.

I have found some AMP pins for DB crimp connectors that are machined instead of stamped. These look like they will do a much nicer job and can be easily soldered for additional support. The Radio Shack stamped crimp on connectors are the worst I have ever used and I would not use them again.
I like the idea of the precrimped cable as stated above but when I was in the market there were none available that were long enough.

Check out item #2 in the link below. It's simple and straightforward to solder up these connectors. It just takes some patience. It's not quite as easy as building a relay board, but it's easy if you plan ahead and take your time.carjbre02 wrote:I'm wondering what people do exactly to make the connection to the DB37 reliable.
