fuel injector filter baskets

Post by devastator »

Does anyone know where I can get replacement fuel injector filter baskets? I saw some on e-bay, but they seem too long. Mine are approx. .425 in. long with a .239 diameter at the top. I pulled them out because they were dirty as heck. In doing so, I destroyed them.
I'm running a 10 Micron fuel filter in a billet aluminum housing with a fuel pressure of 50 PSI. No leaks or other bad things happening. I state this because the filter is only rated at 12 psi. Does the Micron rating change with pressure? Any idea what the micron rating on the injector baskets are? I'm not sure I should even replace them, but I don't want to plug an injector.
BTW, my engine runs GREAT without the filter baskets installed! :D
Thanks in advance.

Is this roughly what you're looking for?
ebay links not permitted on these forums

I did a quick search for filter baskets on ebay, and this guy popped up, with ~5000 of them.

Thanks for the info. Yes, that is what I was looking for, but my filter baskets were shorter than most available. i was able to contact the injector manufacturer and they sold me the 4 that I needed and I bought 4 extras, just in case.....I've since replaced them and am currently tuning out a whole new set of issues. :yeah!:
