Can I use Megasquirt 2 VR for EDIS?

Can I use Megasquirt 2 VR for EDIS?
I have a megasquirt 2 setup for a VR sensor input. Can I still use the vr option if I want to use EDIS 4? I read that microsquirt can use falling edge with VR option.
1988 Chrysler Conquest TSI with 95lb injectors and a magna MPI intake running MS2/extra 3.2.5

The VR input can work with a lot of things - I've seen it wired to an EDIS module before.

Would the wiring be different from using the standard diagram provided in the megamanual? Also, would the settings in megatune be different?
