Need help Tuning in Portland, OR

Post by hkeni »

I posted this message in MS User groups which did not generate any response, So in desperation I am reposting it here.

I am desperately seeking help in Tuning MS1 on my 1978 Suzuki GS 550 motorcycle. I have Installed GPZ1100 throttle bodies, taken care of the wiring, etc. I cant seem to figure out how to get it started. I am running MS1 with out O2 and spark. My ignition is a DYNA S with new DYNA coils. I had set up th ignition before I installed MS and was happy with it. So I did not want to use MS for ignition. I tried setting the constants and enrichment as per the manual. Once in a while it comes to life but dies soon afterward. I don't know where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.
I am located in Beaverton, OR, my email is hrkeni@gmail.com.

First you need to verify MS is getting the tach signal it needs. Is it squirting fuel at all? Can you datalog the starting attempts? This could shine a little light on what's happening. Also, an MSQ could help if you can post one.
