Desperate for help

Post by areonic1 »

Well, been building an 89 camaro for the last few monthes, while we had our family car. Got medically discharged from the army, cant afford family car anymore, so now Im desperate to get my project car running just so we have transportation to the store and stuff. SoIm looking for any help at all....

Its an 89 Camaro, with a 350 SBC
I changed the injectors/pump/and put in an AFPR
its all stock ignition components, just accel/msd brand stuff

MS2 3.57 prebuilt from diy
LC-1 with wideband o2 sensor

I did have the car running before about 2 monthes ago, but that was on just fuel, i was even getting an RPM signle then. Found out there was a defect in the MS box, so had to send it back. Now Ive got it all hooked up, so I thought, fue and spark..
Set the constants and stuff, as megamanual said.

Now, I get no RPM sig, I put a timing light on the sparkplug wire, its a conductive so the light did flash while trying to start it. But the car wont start at all. I dont know if its a spark issue or injector issue, nor do i know how to find out.

please help , I would be very greatfull

Is your Megasquirt able to get an RPM signal on the Stimulator?

If you go back to loading an older MSQ file, does that help?

Did you build up all the settings by hand or are you using an .msq from somebody else? Maybe you could post up the .msq so we could look for errors. Are you using an adapter harness from the factory ECU connector to the MS or did you do the wiring yourself? Are you using the stock pickup coil and HEI module for the spark signal?
