Injector duty cycle 100%...?

Post by turbanthropas »

Hi,
I'm running bosch greentops injectors(440cc./min-42lb/min) and oftenly I see on Megatune that duty cycle is going to 100%.For example,I can see 100%DC even on 0.8bar and less than 6.000rpm...
There is any chance that I've made a mistake on "injectors characteristics" at Megatune?
Here the values that I'm using:
Injector Opening Time(ms)--1.0ms
Battery Voltage Correction--0.20
PWM Current Limit(%)--100
PWM Time Threshold(ms)--25.5

Injectors are High Impedance.

Thanks in order :)

Lance,

I tried but no result...the engine was running bad and after some seconds,died...
I don't know if has any connection with that, but I'll metion it.After a datalog, where the DC hit 100% ,the Pulse Width never exceed the 1/3(there is no scale to say for sure exactly, but 100% is 25.5ms,so I supose that I had max 8ms)
Is this normal?

O.K. finally,I manage to set it working on 2 squirts/alternating and I can say that idle now is smoother than ever!
But what I can do else?Is not sounds so...natural that 42lb injectors are enough only for 0.8bar(not even 200hp)

Lance,

the fuel pressure is 2.5bar..so in that pressure the injectors are about 38lb/min.
I've order an adjustable fpr,to rise up the fuel pressure up to 4.5bar.In that pressure, injector flow is about 50-52lb/min.
That would be enough to suport 300hp?

Couple things to check, are you referencing the fuel pressure to the intake manifold and is the problem duty cycle maybe the result from accell enrichment being triggered?

Brad,

I checked acceleration enrichment on datalog, and is not activated when dc is 100%...

Maybe you can post your datalog?

100% duty cycle in megatune is for sure a calculation of entered value. We will see it on your datalog.
