rough idle ms1 v3.0

Post by boostjunky1320 »

I have a ms1 v3.0 istalled on my 2.0 turbo dodge neon, i am trying to get the car to idle good before i move one to street tunning. I am running megatune, here is the problem, once the engine is worm and out of afterstart/wormup enricment it loobs a little about 1 hundered rpms up and down and sounds like is loaded up on fuel but the wideband is moving back and forth between high 13s and low 15s. The fuel pressure is steady at 42psi. i used the megatune calculator to determined the required fuel of 3.2 (122cud,4cyl,95lb injectors,14.7afr.) and manifold vac goes up and down with the rough idle at 25-30kpa. i did a vac check on the manifold and found a leak, fixed it and still not right. the moter is built but i am running stock cams, the only thing i can think of is that i built a alluminum tank style manifold and its causeing some type of problem but i dought it, i can watch the wideband go up and down with the rough idle so i am thinking that something is not set right in magatune. :?

my car did the same thing as what you described until I adjusted the injector opening time in fuel settings, injector cheracteristics. Maybe this could be it, did you try that? second thought does your o2 sensor have athourity to make large fuel adjustments, could it be overactive? Try turning off EGO correction if you have it on.

Could you post a data log of it idling, along with your MSQ?
