Howdy,
I have an MSII Rev 2.88000, and am using an Innovate LC-1 on a 2006 Ford Focus 2300cc 4 valve 4cyl. with the hydraulic camshaft adjustment locked in the zero position and the intake length locked in the short tuned length. This engine is mounted on an eddy current dynomometer. It has been running open loop for many hours, however the dashboard AFR reading has never been correct, thus we have never run closed loop. I am cross-checking the MS AFR with a Horiba emissions analyzer MEXA-554JU. The Horiba records a good and correct AFR reading, and correct O2, CO, CO2, HC, all Horiba readings are nice and steady, but the dashboard of the MS does not read AFR correctly, the dash will read 8.5 AFR for as long as a minute, then an occasional jump to 21 AFR. The MS log shows the jump to be about 1.6 seconds long, it then returns to 8.4 AFR. The O2 sensor is mounted with a copper heat sink plate as per instructions from Innovate, due to the lack of cooling air from vehicle motion. It has been repeatedly calibrated following Innovate instructions. I have checked this forum for Innovate/MS configuration questions and the MS seems to be set correctly, the Innovate O2 sensor/controller seems to be wired correctly, and have read/reread both the MS and Innovate manuals, (although I must admit I am sometimes baffled by the MS manual.) The WB O2 sensor has the LED attached, and does not blink any error codes when tested or calibrated. Grounds are as MS/Innovate instructions. Configuator is set for Innovate LC1_default, EGO Control is set for Single WB, Simple settings, MS2 AFR Calibrator is set Innovate LC-1 0.5.

what am I doing wrong?

Have you connected LC-1 to a PC and running the innovate sw checked the readout on the PC with Horiba?

Did you measure the LC-1 analog output with a volt meter to see if the voltage you are getting is what it should be according to the PC readout?

Did you configure Megatune or Tunerstudio correctly for the LC-1 (typically 0-5V = AFR10 - 20)?

Did you calibrate MS correctly for the LC-1?

LC1 has two analog outputs, one is wideband, the other is a narrow band simulator. I accidently hooked up the simulator wire and it did what yours is doing.
